| Laparoscopy Nursing Course |
| Laparoscopy has been becoming widespread each passing day at urology field in our country as well the world. At March of 2008, for training at laparoscopic urology field and observing about laparoscopic urology nursing, I also had been at Heildelberg University, SLK Heilbronn Clinics, Urology Department in Heilbronn, Germany is one of centers at most laparoscopic urologic surgeries are done in the world and Ms. Petra Heiser works as chief nurse there. However, at Ankara Numune Hospital I work as operating room nurse, laparoscopic urological surgeries have been operating ever increasingly. |
I also found working opportunity as trainer at directorship of Ms. Petra Heiser at last four each of Laparoscopic Urology Course and Symposium issued seventh one with participating of worldwide known many surgeons and nurses at laparoscopy field. We apply at theorical and practical training of this course, a training program covering tools and devices used at laparoscopy, materials to be used during surgery, duties of nurse to enter an operation for preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative stages. I think this training program is an initial at nursing profession. |
Laparoscopy is a teamwork and operating room nurse is an important part of this team should be trained. I thank to especially Prof. Dr. Yaşar Özgök, organization committee and Türkurolap on behalf of my colleagues for contribution to laparoscopy training of urology nurses. |
