| 7th Practical Laparoscopic Urology Course and Symposium |

Dear Colleagues,
Welcome to the 8th Applied Laparoscopy Course and Symposium which will be held on 1-4. October. 2009 in Ankara.
In collaboration with Gazi Univeristy, School of Medicine, Department of Urology and Ankara University, School of Medicine we are very happy to organize our 8th course.
International course trainers joined us to give training to the course participants. For the first time selected residents from European countries also attended our course through ESRU. Almost a full page is reserved for our course in the september issue of the European Urology Today and our course is again accredited by one of the highest point (24 CME) by the EBU. Therefore, our course has become an international course drawing attention of many colleagues who have an interest in this field of urology.
The course again included training box practicing, performing laparoscopic urologic procedures on pigs in the animal research laboratory, video presentation of laparoscopic urologic procedures and lectures. The Laparoscopy Course for Operating Theatre Nurses is also incorporated in our course which I think is a very important part of the whole course.
Robotic urology was also included in our meeting and a live robotic radical prostatectomy was performed at Ankara Atatürk Training and Research Hospital during the symposium.
